A late 15th-century half-timbered house at the foot of the 11th-century Saint-Pierre church. Generous regional cooking in the medieval heart of Montluçon.
Five centuries of history in a unique setting at the heart of the Bourbonnais.
La Fontaine aux Lions is housed in a late 15th-century half-timbered house, typical of the medieval city of Montluçon — exposed beams, cut stone, generous volumes inherited from five centuries of history.
The terrace opens onto Place Saint-Pierre, dominated by the 11th-century Romanesque church, one of the finest medieval ensembles in the Bourbonnais.
Our cooking celebrates the flavours of Auvergne — truffade, cassoulet, aged meats — while also embracing fragrant tajines, generous couscous, market fish and seasonal seafood.
